About the manufacturer Hurom
For over half a century, Hurom has been an established name in the world of juicing technology. This longstanding expertise has made Hurom one of the leading players in the industry. The brand is particularly appreciated in Europe for its high-quality vertical juicers. Hurom's excellent manufacturing quality is so recognized that well-known competitors such as Omega, Nama and Sana also have their own juicer models manufactured by Hurom.
What is the quality of the juice?
You can use the Hurom E30-ST to prepare all popular juices - whether celery juice, ginger shots or turmeric shots, beetroot juice or carrot juice. The juice quality is particularly clear and virtually free of fiber.
Like its larger siblings, the E30-ST is particularly good at processing soft and juicy ingredients. It can therefore also be used to make pineapple juice, apple juice or pear juice.
With a slow juicing speed of just 43 revolutions per minute, the Hurom ensures that vitamins, enzymes and flavors are optimally preserved, as the juice is not exposed to heat or strong oxidation. Compared to other vertical juicers, the E50-ST delivers an above-average juice yield.Gentle juicing at 43 revolutions per minute ensures that as many nutrients and flavors as possible are retained in the juice, as the juices are not exposed to heat or oxygen. The juice yield of the Hurom E30-ST is average.
How suitable is the Hurom E30-ST for making celery juice?
The Hurom E30-ST allows you to make freshly squeezed celery juice extremely conveniently. For optimum results, simply cut the celery stalks into pieces about 2 cm long and fill the filling chamber. The E30-ST draws in the stalks automatically and delivers an almost fiber-free juice result.
In terms of juice yield, the Hurom E30-ST was in the bottom third of our celery juice juicer comparison. It achieved an average of 335 ml of juice from 500 g of celery. By comparison, the test winner Angel Juicer extracted an average of 430 ml of celery juice - i. e. almost 100 ml more than the E30-ST.
What other preparation options are there?
Nut milk production with the juice strainer
The Hurom E30-ST can also be used to make nut milk. For processing, it is necessary to soak the nuts in water overnight. Before starting, pour off the soaking water and mix the nuts with clean water in a ratio of about 1 part nuts to 3 parts water.
Important: Make sure that the juice flap of the appliance is closed before you start. Switch on the Hurom E30-ST and gradually pour the prepared nut/water mixture into the juicer. As soon as the pressing chamber has filled, open the juice flap to remove the extracted milk. For a particularly fine consistency, the finished nut milk can optionally be filtered through a nut milk bag to remove any residue.
Operation & handling of the Hurom E30-ST
Assembling the Hurom E30-ST is extremely simple. First, you assemble the components in the press housing: These include the strainer insert, the scraper and the pressing screw. Then you attach the filling chamber to the juice housing by turning it clockwise and place it on the motor block.
Preparing and chopping ingredients
To make optimum use of the capacity and the self-feeding function, you should cut all ingredients - whether hard vegetables or long-fibered juice - into pieces about 2-3 cm in size. Larger fruits such as apples, pears or citrus fruits should be cut into quarters or eighths.
After you have closed the lid, press the main switch on the motor block to 'ON'. The Hurom E30-ST will now start the pressing process automatically. Your juice is usually ready within about 1-2 minutes. You remove the juice by opening the flap of the juice outlet.
If you want to add more ingredients, open the lid, the E30-ST then stops and only continues juicing when the lid is closed again.
Using the coarse sieve for thicker juices
In addition to the fine sieve, the Hurom E30-ST also comes with a coarse sieve. This allows you to produce juices that contain significantly more fine pulp and therefore have a thicker texture.
Preparation tip: If you don't have much time in the morning, prepare the ingredients the evening before. Chop them up and fill them into the filling chamber. Stored in the fridge overnight, the Hurom E30-ST can start juicing immediately the next morning while you get ready!
Using the reverse function
The Hurom E30-ST is equipped with a reverse function. This is used when the pressing process is hindered by pieces that are too large or jammed. Activate this function by setting the main switch to the "REV" position and holding it down. As soon as you release the switch, the reverse function stops automatically.
Cleaning the Hurom E30-ST
We recommend cleaning the Hurom E30-ST immediately after each use. To protect your work surface from soiling, please close the juice flap first before removing the juice housing from the motor block. Then place the housing in your sink.
Now detach the filling chamber from the pressing parts. Remove the individual elements of the slow juicer (sieve, press screw, scraper) and rinse them under running water. The cleaning brush supplied is your best tool for quickly and thoroughly removing residues from the sieve and scraper. To completely clean the pomace outlet, open it, remove the pomace and rinse it thoroughly. Then leave all parts to air dry or wipe them dry with a kitchen towel. Finally, reassemble the components and place the juice housing back on the motor block. Your appliance is ready to use again immediately!
Note: It is best to use a sieve in the sink. This will prevent pomace residue from clogging the drain.

-Hurom E30-ST vs. Hurom E50-ST
Hurom E30-ST vs. Hurom E50-ST
Both models of the Hurom E-Series are self-feeding juicers with convenient operation: simply add ingredients, close the lid, and let the juicer do the work. Both devices come with a fine and coarse screen, allowing you to prepare both clear juices and thicker juices with a higher fiber content. You can use both devices to make all popular juices; as vertical juicers, they are particularly well-suited for processing soft and water-rich fruits and vegetables.
Hurom offers a 10-year warranty on the motor and other components for both models—a testament to the high quality and durability of these slow juicers. The juice quality is excellent for both models—you get clear, nutrient-rich juices with maximum flavor.
The Differences in Detail
- Size and Compactness: The Hurom E30-ST is the smallest juicer in the Hurom Pure Press Line. It is perfect for small kitchens or if you have limited counter space. Its compact size makes it easy to rinse even in small sinks—a real advantage. The Hurom E50-ST is slightly larger than the E30-ST but is still significantly more compact than larger Hurom juicers like the Hurom H320N.
- Volume of the Feeding Chamber and Juice Quantity: The biggest practical difference is the volume of the feeding chamber: The Hurom E30-ST is equipped with a smaller feeding chamber with a volume of 800 ml. This size is ideal for single servings. With a fully filled chamber, you can produce about 250-300 ml of juice, depending on the ingredients. You add your ingredients, the juicer processes them, and in just 1-2 minutes, the finished juice flows directly into your glass. The feeding chamber of the Hurom E50-ST holds 1.6 liters. Accordingly, you can produce about 550-600 ml of juice per juicing session with a fully filled chamber - almost double compared to the E30-ST. This makes it more convenient if you want to prepare larger quantities of juice for multiple people.
- Juice Yield Comparison: We tested both devices in terms of juice yield when making celery juice. In our celery juice juicer test, the Hurom E50-ST performed better than the Hurom E30-ST. When processing 500 g of celery, the E50-ST extracted an average of 380 ml of celery juice, while the E30-ST extracted 335 ml. This means the E50-ST not only extracts more juice per session due to its larger feeding chamber but also extracts slightly more juice from the celery stalks.
- Lid and Pusher: A special feature of the Hurom E30-ST is that the lid has no opening and is therefore delivered without a pusher. You fill the ingredients completely, close the lid, and start the juicing process. This makes operation even easier, and you have one less part to clean. The Hurom E50-ST comes with a pusher that you can use if needed to push down ingredients. Our experience: We almost never use the pusher. If ingredients get stuck in the feeding chamber, we briefly open the lid and reposition the pieces by hand.
Conclusion: Which Hurom is Right for You?
Choose the Hurom E30-ST if you live alone, have limited space, and want to enjoy a single serving of fresh juice (250-300 ml) daily. Opt for the Hurom E50-ST if you want to juice larger quantities at once (550-600 ml) or prepare juice for multiple people. Both models provide you with clear, aromatic juices.
