overview

about the manufacturer Kuvings

Kuvings is one of the world's leading manufacturers of slow juicers. The South Korean company has made a name for itself in Germany in particular with its wide-mouth juicers, which enable whole apples and oranges to be juiced without first having to be cut into small pieces. With the Kuvings AUTO range, Kuvings develops first-class slow juicers with self-feeding technology that make the juicing process even more convenient.

What can I juice with the AUTO11?

Whether celery juice, carrot juice, beet juice or ginger shots - with the Kuvings AUTO11 you can prepare a variety of fruit and vegetable juices. It is suitable for soft fruits such as apples and pears as well as fibrous ingredients such as celery and leafy greens. Thanks to the slow pressing speed of just 50 revolutions per minute, the nutrients are retained in the best possible way.

What is the juice quality like?

The juices are characterized by a clear, fibre-free consistency and a full-bodied, smooth taste.

Is the Kuvings AUTO11 suitable for celery juice?

The Kuvings AUTO11 makes it particularly easy to prepare celery juice, especially for larger quantities of 500 ml or more. The AUTO11 can easily process this quantity in a single juicing cycle without you needing to do anything other than fill the filling chamber and start the appliance.

Preparation recommendation: For optimum and fast processing, we recommend cutting the celery stalks into 2-3 cm long pieces before juicing. This allows the filling chamber to be filled to the maximum and eliminates the need for refilling.

The result is a clear, particle-free celery juice with a full-bodied and aromatic taste. In our celery juice extractor test, the Kuvings AUTO11 achieved an average result of 350 ml juice from the green stalks.

Making nut milk with the Kuvings AUTO11

You can also prepare nut milk with the Kuvings AUTO11. To do this, soak the nuts in water overnight before processing. Pour off the soaking water before juicing and add fresh water in a ratio of 1:3. Close the juice outlet flap before pouring the nut/water mixture into the juicer. Start the Kuvings AUTO11 and gradually add the mixture with a ladle. As soon as the juice chamber is filled with milk, open the juice outlet flap to remove the milk. For a completely particle-free result, you can then filter the nut milk using a nut milk bag.

Operation & handling of the Kuvings AUTO11

The Kuvings AUTO11 is easy to assemble. Make sure that the markings on the filling chamber and the juice drum are aligned. The AUTO11 is ready for use as soon as the filling chamber is locked into place on the juice drum.

Juicing with the Kuvings AUTO11

Thanks to the generous filling chamber of the Kuvings AUTO11, you can usually fill it completely with the ingredients for your juice recipe and prepare 500 ml to around 1 liter of juice in one juicing process. This eliminates the need to refill ingredients and you can concentrate on other activities while juicing.

Important note: When the filling chamber is completely full, leave the juice outlet flap open so that the juice can flow out from the start, as the juice chamber can hold a maximum of 500 ml of juice.

Preparation recommendation: Even if you can juice apples, pears and oranges whole, we recommend cutting them into quarters. This makes it easier to fill the filling chamber and speeds up the juicing process. The same applies to celery stalks, carrots or cucumbers, which we cut into 2-3 cm long pieces before juicing.

If you only fill the filling chamber halfway and want to prepare a mixed juice, e. G. from fruit, leafy greens and vegetables, close the juice outlet flap to ensure even mixing of the juice during juicing.

To start the Kuvings AUTO11, set the central function switch on the motor block to "FWD" (forward). Normally, the ingredients are automatically drawn into the juice drum. If there are any jams, use the tamper provided to feed the ingredients to the pressing screw.

As soon as all the ingredients have been juiced and no more pomace comes out of the pomace outlet or the juice drum is filled to the maximum with juice, open the juice outlet flap to remove the juice. To extract the last drops, you can tilt the juicer slightly by the handle towards the juice outlet.

Clogged juice drum? How to solve the problem

If ingredients are jammed or jammed in the housing, simply release this blockage with the reverse gear. To do this, set the central function switch on the motor block to 'REV' (reverse) for a few seconds by holding it down. As soon as the blockage is released, set the switch back to "FWD" to continue the juicing process.

Cleaning the Kuvings AUTO11

It is best to clean the Kuvings AUTO11 immediately after use to prevent juice and pomace residue from drying in the housing. First close the juice outlet flap, fill with half a liter of water and let the motor run for a few seconds. open the juice outlet flap, allow the water to drain and remove the juice housing from the motor to clean it in the sink.

Take the juice housing apart and clean all parts under running water using the cleaning brush supplied. For cleaning the sieve, we also recommend purchasing the sieve cleaning brush from Sana (see recommended accessories).

Flat cleaning brush from Sana

For sieve cleaning, we recommend the flat cleaning brush from Sana with hard-wearing bristles, which effectively removes ingredient residues from the sieve pores.

Kuvings AUTO11 vs. Hurom H-320N/Hurom H-330P

As the two Hurom juicers - Hurom H-320N and Hurom H-330P - are technically completely identical, we compare them with the Kuvings AUTO11. All three devices are vertical juicers of a similar design, with comparable dimensions, a similar appearance and handling. The Kuvings AUTO11 and the two Hurom models are also similar in terms of juice yield. In our celery juice extractor test, they even achieved the same result, each extracting an average of 350 ml of celery juice from 500 g of celery. There were significant differences in three aspects:

1. Hurom juicers with more extensive standard features

In terms of basic features, the Hurom H-320N is slightly more generous than the Kuvings AUTO11. In addition to a fine sieve, it also includes a coarse sieve for producing thicker juices. If you want to prepare thicker juices with the Kuvings AUTO11, you will need the cream and smoothie set, which is available separately. In addition to the coarse sieve, the Hurom H-330P even offers an ice sieve for making fruit sorbets.

2. Larger filling chamber in the Kuvings AUTO11

The AUTO11 is characterized by a significantly larger filling chamber with a volume of 3 liters. In the Hurom H-320N and Hurom H-330P models, the capacity of the filling chamber is only 2 liters. This means that users who want to produce larger quantities of juice will enjoy greater convenience with the Kuvings AUTO11, as filling the chamber once and completely yields more than about 1 liter of freshly squeezed juice. (This value can vary depending on the water content of the ingredients.) For smaller quantities of juice under 500 ml per juicing cycle, the Hurom H-320N or the Hurom H-330P also offer very convenient slow juicer options.

3. Clearer juice result with the Kuvings AUTO11

In a direct comparison of the vertical juicers, we also found that the juice quality of the Kuvings AUTO11 is clearer than that of the Hurom H-320N or Hurom H-330P models. With the latter, the juice had a fine, creamy residue. If you prefer this consistency and do not need more than 350-400 ml of juice per run, the Hurom H-320N or Hurom H-330P is an interesting alternative to the Kuvings AUTO11.

Kuvings AUTO11 vs. Kuvings AUTO8

Kuvings AUTO11 and Kuvings AUTO8 represent the generation of convenient self-feeding juicers from Kuvings with maximum automation thanks to their generous filling chambers. They are not only similar in name, but also in design and performance. Visually, the AUTO11 looks like the AUTO8's bigger brother - it is only a few centimetres wider, deeper and higher overall. Both appliances press the ingredients particularly gently at the low speed of 50 rpm typical of slow juicers. The most striking differences between these two self-feeding juicers from Kuvings lie in the following aspects:

1. Kuvings AUTO11 with larger feeding chamber

With a volume of 3 liters, the filling chamber of the Kuvings AUTO11 significantly exceeds that of the AUTO8 (2 liter volume). In practical terms, this means that the AUTO11 can produce around 750-1000 ml of juice in a single juicing cycle when completely filled with ingredients, while the Kuvings AUTO8 produces around 400-500 ml of juice. For users who want to prepare larger quantities of juice every day - for example for a family of 4-5 or for carrying out juice cures - the Kuvings AUTO11 is the more convenient appliance.

2. Kuvings AUTO11 with more efficient juice yield

Although the juice quality of both AUTO juicers is very similar - almost clear and with a full-bodied taste - the Kuvings AUTO11 tends to extract slightly more juice from the ingredients than the Kuvings AUTO8. In our celery juice juicer test, the AUTO11 achieved an average of 350 ml of juice from 500 g of celery, while the Kuvings AUTO8 achieved an average of 331 ml, just under 20 ml less than the AUTO11.

3. Kuvings AUTO11 is easier to clean

The Kuvings AUTO11 is also slightly easier to clean than the Kuvings AUTO8. The pomace outlet on the AUTO11 can be opened completely, which makes it easier to remove pomace residue and saves time. The AUTO8 only has a small silicone clip on the underside of the juice housing, which is opened to clean the pulp outlet. Here, it was necessary to literally scrape fibrous residues in particular out of the pulp outlet with the handle of the cleaning brush. Although the AUTO8 is the newer appliance on the market, this represents a small step backwards in terms of cleaning.

4. Kuvings AUTO11 only comes with a fine sieve as standard

As standard, the Kuvings AUTO11 is supplied with a fine sieve for the production of freshly squeezed juices or nut milk. The Kuvings AUTO8, on the other hand, comes with an additional sorbet and cream insert as standard, which can be used to prepare fruit sorbets and ice cream as well as nut purees or fruit purées. If you would like to extend the AUTO11's preparation range in a similar way, you would need to purchase the matching cream and smoothie set separately.
