About the manufacturer Sana 818
The Czech company Sana has made a name for itself as a manufacturer of premium juicers over the past 10 years. The company is known for its high-quality and durable juicers that ensure gentle juice extraction for maximum nutrient retention. With a focus on quality and innovation, Sana has gained the trust of discerning customers over the years. A recent milestone in Sana's product development is the development of powerful and maximum convenience self-feeding juicers such as the Sana 818.
What is the quality of the juice?
You can use the Sana 818 to easily make all popular juices such as celery juice, vegetable juices such as beetroot and carrot juice or ginger shots. The juice result is very clear and full-bodied in taste.
The Sana 818 demonstrates its quality as an all-rounder particularly when juicing soft, juicy fruits and vegetables. This includes mealy apples, pineapples and oranges, for example. Thanks to its vertical design, it processes these ingredients without back pressure, enabling the stress-free extraction of pure apple or orange juice.
The Sana 818 juices at just 50 revolutions per minute, which helps to ensure that maximum nutrients and flavors are retained in the juice. The juices are not exposed to unnecessary heat or excessive oxygen. Compared to many other vertical juicers and especially self-feeding juicers, the juice yield of the Sana 818 is also particularly efficient.

How suitable is the Sana 818 for making celery juice?
The Sana 818 makes it easy to prepare fresh celery juice. We recommend that you cut the celery stalks into pieces about 2-3 cm long so that you can fill the filling chamber to the maximum. The juice result is almost particle-free juice. A small, fine residue may remain, but this is not perceived as disturbing due to its consistency.

Nut milk production
In addition to making freshly squeezed juices, you can also use the Sana 818 to make fresh nut milk. It is important to soak the nuts in water overnight. Then pour off the soaking water and place the nuts in a container with fresh water in a ratio of around 1:3.
Before you put the nut/water mixture into the juicer, make sure that the juice flap is closed. Then switch on the Sana 818 and gradually add the mixture using a ladle. As soon as the pressing chamber has filled with nut milk, open the juice flap to remove the milk. For a particularly fine result, the nut milk can then be filtered through a nut milk bag to remove any remaining residue.

Operation & handling of the Sana 818

Assembling the Sana 818 is very simple. Start by assembling the components of the pressing chamber, including the sieve insert, scraper and pressing screw. The filling chamber is then connected to the pressing chamber housing by turning it clockwise. Once this module is complete, it is simply placed on the motor block. Make sure that the outlets for juice and pomace are correctly aligned.
Preparing and chopping ingredients
Although you can put whole fruit into the filling chamber with the Sana 818, we always recommend cutting the juice ingredients into small pieces - about 2-3 cm in size. This allows you to make the most of the advantages of the filling chamber and the self-feeding function.

After closing the lid, press the main switch on the motor block to 'ON' to start the juicing process. The Sana 818 will then start juicing automatically. Your juice will be ready in about 1-2 minutes, after which you can open the juice outlet flap to remove the fresh juice.
If you want to add more ingredients during juicing, you can either pour them in through the opening in the lid or lift the lid briefly. Note that the latter briefly interrupts the juicing process. As soon as the lid is closed again, the Sana 818 will automatically resume the juicing process.
Preparation tip for the morning: If you want to enjoy fresh juice in the morning but don't have much time, you can prepare the ingredients the evening before. Simply chop the fruit and vegetables and place them in the filling chamber of the Sana 818. Place the filled chamber in the fridge overnight. This way, the Sana 818 can start juicing the next morning while you get ready for the day.
Using the reverse function
The Sana 818 has a practical reverse function. This is used if the juicing process is hindered by chunks that are too large or an overload of ingredients. To activate this function, the main switch is set to the 'REV' position and pressed down. When the switch is released, reverse operation stops automatically.

Cleaning the Sana 818
To ensure that the Sana 818 always remains hygienic, it is advisable to clean it immediately after each use. It is best to close the juice flap before removing the juice housing from the motor block to prevent unsightly drips on the worktop or floor. You can then place it directly in the sink.
Then detach the filling chamber from the pressing chamber housing and remove all the individual parts of the slow juicer. Rinse them thoroughly under running water. The brush supplied is ideal for thoroughly cleaning the sieve and the sieve scraper. To completely clean the pomace outlet, open it, remove any pomace residue and rinse it through with water. Then leave the cleaned parts to air dry or dry them with a kitchen towel. Finally, reassemble all the components and place the juice housing back on the motor block. Your appliance is then ready for the next use!
Important note: To prevent pomace residue from clogging your drain, it is advisable to use a sieve in the sink.
