Green smoothies, like the spinach smoothie, are now trending in terms of color. The American institute for color research "Pantone" has chosen Greenery, a fresh yellow-green, as the trend color for 2017. This pleases us, from a culinary point of view, we have been in love with green for a long time. For years, we have been creating the most diverse shades of green in our blender and can't get enough of green stuff. Green simply is good for you. According to color theory, it is the color of the middle, which has a balancing, conciliatory and calming effect - without tiring. Green stands for hope and confidence, for new beginnings, health, nature and vitality. Isn't it amazing how much positivity can fit inside a glass? We want our Greenery!

Desire for green: spinach smoothie recipe Greenery
For our Greenery recipe, we fell in love with green again - spinach, kiwi, green grapes, apple, avocado, and lime not only show off various beautiful shades of green, but make for an extremely mild mixture with a very pleasant tartness. Kiwi and lime add an exotic touch, avocado makes the smoothie nice and creamy, while grapes, apple and fresh orange juice provide a sweet full-bodied taste. And of course, we chose a green blender - the Bianco Primo in green.

Green is always in fashion! Thank you so much for the lovely feedback.
Wishing you all the best,
Carla
Thank you for your feedback on our smoothie recipe. It's great to hear that you enjoyed "Greenery." Next time, simply halve the amount of ingredients. We provide the total quantity in our recipes - in this case, 1500 ml - so that you have an idea before blending. For some people, 2 glasses of 300 ml each are already satisfying, while others may have 1.5 liters of green smoothie as a breakfast replacement.
Best regards,
Carla
Thanks, Volker.
Thank you very much for your lovely recipe feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the smoothie so much.
Of course, you can also use the orange - it's purely a taste decision to include the juice in the smoothie. Sometimes we use a tiny piece of the avocado seed.
Best regards,
Carla
Thank you for your feedback! I'm so glad you enjoyed the smoothie and were able to customize the recipe to suit your taste. That's exactly how it should be.
Warm regards,
Carla
That's great news - keep it up!
Warm regards,
Carla
I wasn't in the mood for grapes and apples, I don't usually eat either of them very often as they have too much sugar for me. :) So here is my version:
300g frozen spinach
2 golden kiwis (with peel)
1 orange (without peel)
1 half of a small avocado (without peel and pit)
1 half of a lemon (without peel)
300ml water
Put everything into the Bianco di Puro Primo Plus (spinach on top) and start the smoothie program.
Done and.. Wow! So green! :D and totally delicious with a subtle citrus note. Not too sweet, and personally just right for me in this heat. I'll have it cold from the fridge tomorrow at lunchtime. Thanks for your inspirations!!
Greetings from Hamburg,
Verena
That sounds great! A tip: Why not try using fresh spinach; frozen spinach is actually blanched before freezing, meaning it is heated. This process causes some nutrients, such as cold-sensitive enzymes, to be lost.
Warm regards,
Carla
thank you for your comment :)
Yes, fresh spinach is regularly in my veggie box and of course, I use that instead of frozen.
Right at this moment, I'm drinking a smoothie made from fresh tomatoes.
I also added peas from the garden at the end.
They are like little green highlights in the "red soup". ^^
Have a great day!
Best regards,
verena
Wishing you a lovely day as well,
Carla
Does anyone have a good recipe?
today I finally got a lovely organic avocado and was able to blend the "Greenery" in the original recipe. The taste is sooo amazing that I left the recipe right next to the blender, which will now be used more often.
So far, I've only used banana or avocado, never both at the same time.
Have the kohlrabies already made their way into your beautiful kitchen?
Many warm greetings from the Thuringian Forest, MO.
Banana? - Greenery actually works without banana, only with avocado. It surely fits as well, making it sweeter. Still no sign of Kohlrabi here :( But we still have good purslane! See you soon, warmly, Carla
Well, I was quite surprised just now. I must have read too many smoothie recipes and simply sneaked a banana in there! But I really like the taste. I love bananas.
Lamb's lettuce seeds are already waiting here. However, a thick layer of snow is still spreading in the garden.
Best regards from the Thuringian Forest, MO.
For a start, you can surely test Green Smoothies in the Thermomix to find out if you generally like this blend of fruits, leafy greens, and water. However, to fully experience the culinary taste adventure of Green Smoothies, it's definitely worth investing in a high-speed blender as a complement to the Thermomix. This is because there are leafy greens such as kale, parsley, wheatgrass, or even wild herbs that a Thermomix cannot properly puree. The Thermomix simply has a different focus. Green Smoothies are not its strength.
Here are a few buyer reviews from/about Thermomix owners, who have, for example, purchased a Bianco di Puro Primo as an addition.
