Spread Recipes: Our Favorite Spreads to Blend Up

Bread Spread Recipes

Just as Green smoothies and freshly pressed juices are a staple of our diet, the good old sandwich is too. To elevate your sandwich experience, we love to utilize spreads. They instantly enhance your lunch sandwich, picnic panino, or crostino for an aperitif. Of course, you can also enjoy a spread on its own or add it wherever it fits – for example, to spice up your dressing. The best part: since we make our spreads ourselves using a blender, we know exactly what's in them. Guaranteed to be all good things and especially no artificial additives or preservatives like in many store-bought options.

Get inspired and bring variety to your bread. With our bread spread recipes and a reliable high-speed blender, preparation becomes child's play.

Ingredients

  • 200 g red bell pepper grilled and peeled
  • 60 g almonds
  • 20 g capers pickled in brine and drained
  • 20 g olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 g fresh garlic peeled
  • 12 g fresh basil
  • 2 pinches salt or to taste
  • 2 pinches ground smoked paprika powder or to taste

Instruction

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  2. Remove the stem from the bell peppers and place them on the baking sheet, then grill them in the oven for about 10-12 minutes. The skin can become quite black.
  3. Afterward, take the peppers out of the oven, wrap them in a damp kitchen towel, and let them cool in a bowl.
  4. Once the peppers have cooled, peel off the skin. Now, slice the peppers open and remove the seeds and membranes.
  5. If you have any leftover bell peppers, you can slice them into strips and marinate them in a bit of olive oil, garlic, and basil.
  6. Weigh out 200 g of the peppers and add this portion to the container with the other ingredients. Blend everything until you achieve a creamy bell pepper spread. This spread is perfect on toasted sourdough or white bread.
  7. For a touch of flair, top it with basil leaves and/or flowers and a few drops of olive oil.
  8. Enjoy from the heart!
