Tip 1: If you blend for significantly longer than 90 seconds, add ice cubes or use ice cold water to keep the smoothie from heating up too much.
Tip 2: Our recipes sometimes use very fibrous leafy greens, such as wild herbs and parsley. With these ingredients, a normal kitchen blender quickly reaches its performance limit. Result: less creamy smoothies. We recommend - replace the fibrous ingredients with leafy greens that are easier to puree, such as baby spinach, lamb's lettuce or lettuce.
Have fun blending and enjoying!

Thanks a lot for your question.
How much smoothie you drink is very individual. As a breakfast replacement, we drink about 700–1000 ml.
Best regards,
Carla
I still have one question:
How many people are your smoothie recipes calculated for?
We’d be happy to come again.
Best regards,
Gudrun from Heiligensee
We’re delighted to hear that you felt so well advised by us!
Regarding your question: we drink about 700 to 1000 ml of green smoothie as a meal replacement. As a snack between meals, of course, we drink less – for example, around 350 ml.
Just try out what works best for you.
Best regards,
Carla
I downloaded the green smoothie recipes and I have to say, they’re really great. Thank you very much for all your wonderful ideas. I do have a few questions though:
1. I drink my smoothie at lunchtime – would it be better to have it in the morning?
2. I make a full batch and immediately put half of it for the next day into the 0–4 °C compartment in the fridge; I think it tastes just as good. What do you think about that?
3. Sometimes I have various leftovers like spinach, pineapple, banana, avocado, so I portion them for a smoothie into a freezer container and then rotate them, and I’ve also weighed out fresh and ripe ingredients. There’s nothing wrong with using frozen ingredients, is there?
For example, I also have raspberries and strawberries from the garden – it’s more sensible to use those than to buy them in winter, right?
I’m looking forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
Beate
thank you very much for your lovely feedback on the recipes – we’re really happy to hear that!
Regarding your questions:
1. You can of course drink your smoothie at lunchtime; there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
2. The fresher you drink your smoothie, the more nutrients it contains. That’s why we always blend fresh and wouldn’t store a smoothie for longer than 24 hours, well chilled.
3. You can definitely do that – especially if you want to preserve fresh fruit from the garden by freezing it.
Best wishes and enjoy many more delicious smoothies!
Carla

Thank you for your question.
Smoothies – whether green, made from vegetables, or fruit – are made with a blender, preferably a high-speed blender, by adding water or another liquid.
With a juicer, you extract juice from fruit, vegetables, or leafy greens, resulting in juice that is almost free of fiber. In contrast, a smoothie retains the plant fiber in the drink.

thank you very much for your comment and your question about the shelf life of smoothies. If kept well chilled, a smoothie can be stored for about 24 hours. After that, not only is there a significant loss of nutrients, but the smoothie also loses flavor. Therefore, we try to drink smoothies as fresh as possible and usually never store them for longer than 5-7 hours.

Which smoothies are recommended to replace breakfast? I've read online that it should be the green smoothie. Now, I'd like to have that confirmed by the smoothie pros.
thank you very much for your comment. For us, it has definitely been the green smoothie that has replaced our entire breakfast. Due to the leafy greens it contains, it keeps you feeling fuller for longer compared to a pure fruit smoothie. In terms of quantity, we drink about 700-1000 ml as a meal replacement. However, it can also be more or less, depending on your individual needs. And of course, you can also replace lunch or dinner with a green smoothie—whatever fits into your daily diet. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out again or take a look at our Green Smoothies FAQ. There, you'll find answers to the most common questions about the green smoothie.

thank you very much for your comment and feedback on our green smoothie recipes for beginners. A good high-speed blender is definitely capable of completely pureeing the peels of fresh citrus fruits and ginger. May I ask which blender you are using?

thank you for your comment. One way to reduce the sugar content of green smoothies would be to try savory smoothies with tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados, or bell peppers. Otherwise, berries, stone fruits like cherries, plums, and apricots are known to have lower sugar content. You can easily find lists of low-sugar fruits online or consult with a professional nutritionist for advice.
